Future-Shape GmbH introduces new SensFloor project
SensFloor is a large-area textile-based sensor system, which is installed beneath the flooring and used for fall detection, activity monitoring and security applications in the context of Ambient Assisted Living. During the LCAtoGo project it was shown, that the eco cost of the SensFloor underlay are reduced from 1.04 €/m² to 0.06 €/m² by using cork instead of polyester as a base material. The power dissipation during its life cycle (20 years) could be reduced from 504 mW/m² to 8 mW/m² by optimizing the measurement and radio transmission parameters. Future-Shape GmbH just gained a new SensFloor project for Ambient Assisted Living at the VITA D'ORO residential area in Bad Griesbach, Germany.
